Position Overview
The Food & Beverage Manager position is best suited for someone who has in-depth knowledge of club / restaurant operations and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining calm and professional. The Food & Beverage Manager is expected to be a polished, personable, positive and enthusiastic face for the daily club operations. The incumbent should be comfortable conversing and interacting in both back and front of house settings as she or he interfaces with diverse constituencies (members, guests, employees, vendors) throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Takes complete ownership of the beverage program and work to ensure that all cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages are prepared and presented with the highest level of quality.
- Plan for upcoming club events and banquets and communicate needs and requirements to other managers, administrative staff, and employees well in advance.
- Train bartenders and other dining room staff; provide feedback and support to employees with the goal of providing exemplary service to all members and guests.
- Develops and implements programs to increase revenues through repeat business and higher check averages.
- Oversees inventory management.
- Manage within budgetary restraints.
- Support the mission, vision, values of The Center Club in every interaction and decision.
- Assist in meeting or exceeding established sales, revenue, and profitability goals.
- Contribute to a culture of professionalism, respect, and accountability by providing a strong floor presence, guiding and leading the staff in gracious hospitality operations.
- Ensure the integrity and operational functionality of all POS and security / safety systems.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and assist Assistant General Manager as directed.
