Some Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day operation of Day Habilitation services in assigned program.
- Act as liaison between Day Habilitation services and other Agency services, OPWDD, and community at large.
- Responsible for all aspects of supervising Activity Coordinators and Activity Coaches for assigned program including, but not limited to, hiring, discipline, evaluation of job performance, assignment of job responsibilities and using independent judgment to recommend promotion, suspension and/or termination.
- Responsible for on and off-site supervision of all Day Habilitation services.
- Conduct periodic review of case files to ensure that quality standards and regulatory requirements are being maintained.
- Participate in all outside reviews of Day Habilitation services completed by the Division of Quality Assurance or any other organization exercising authority.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or Associates degree and four years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and facilitate team process.
- Good oral and written communication, computer skills.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift 50 lbs.
