Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant or Administrative Assistant, who has the desire to work in a small office atmosphere.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in patient care and medical administrative support. Be familiar with or have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
This person will be responsible for management of all the front desk administrative duties.
Duties: ( or as legally allowed under job title)
- Provide administrative support to medical staff and patients
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Assist with patient intake, medical history documentation
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
- Assist with medication administration as directed by medical staff
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to appropriate personnel
- Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry
Skills:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient with Microsoft Word
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medical administrative procedures and protocols
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems
- Familiar or experience working with health Insurance
