Crisis Call Center Specialist – Full Time, 1st Shift, 8am-4pm, Monday – Friday
The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Crisis Call Center Specialist. Our mission at CFPA is to help all people live free from violence and abuse, and our Crisis Call Center Specialist is essential in bringing that mission to life.
Crisis Call Center Specialist answers and assists callers on general domestic violence calls and hotline calls. The Crisis Call Specialist refers callers to appropriate Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) resources, refers callers to other appropriate resources, agencies, and organizations, and notifies supervisor and initiates emergency response during circumstances when it is determined the caller is at imminent risk and cannot secure their safety.
The Crisis Call Center Specialist must maintain confidential, accurate and timely documentation in accordance with ICADV/DHS standards and CFPA policy and procedure manual and participate in special projects as assigned.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in working with individuals in crisis is preferred.
Must be passionate about CFPA’s mission, work well independently and as a team, demonstrate non-abusive behavior in both public and professional life, and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
