The Challenge Printing Company, established in 1911, is the premier provider of printed packaging components to the pharmaceutical industry. We are looking for a Digital Press Operator (Digicon) to join our team in NJ location. This is the first shift; full time position and the work hours will be Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 2:36 pm.
The Primary Responsibilities are as following:
· Set up and operate an ABG Digicon Omega label press.
· Actively monitor production efficiency and quality.
· Responsible for end of shift wash-ups and preventative maintenance of press
· Manage press supplies.
· Mount die onto cylinders.
· Mount printing plates onto cylinders.
· Follow and comply with all safety rules, work instructions, procedures, and regulations.
· Ensure all equipment, tools and workstations are in good working order and are free of any safety and printing defects.
· Report all equipment and product imperfections to Pressroom Manager immediately.
Requirements
· 2 years of digital press experience or flexographic printing experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
· Good personal communication skills including reading, speaking, and writing simple sentences.
· Must be educated in all documents pertaining to the printing process and adhere to specification requirements.
· Must be able to maintain good attendance.
· Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
Preferred experience:
• Flexographic Printing: 3 years (Required)

Physical Demands:
Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting. May, on a continuous basis, stand for a long period of time and stoop and kneel frequently. May handle, feel and reach for items in and around press area, also write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting and/or move up to 50 lbs. may be required. Vision: close vision, distance and color vision to distinguish color variations, peripheral and depth perception as well as the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Must be able to work overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines.
