We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager or Product Manager (Volunteer) to help us coordinate and accelerate the development of Recipe Empire - an experimental platform designed to promote sustainable, healthy diets and contribute to global climate solutions.
What We’re Building
Food systems account for nearly one-third of global emissions. The IPCC and leading climate scientists have identified shifting to sustainable diets as one of the most effective ways to mitigate climate change. Recipe Empire is an early-stage platform designed to make that shift easier and community-driven - starting with a space for plant-forward, culturally diverse, and climate-friendly recipes and knowledge.

What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a volunteer who can
- Organize and manage technical priorities across developers, designers, and researchers
- Track project progress and remove bottlenecks
- Define clear milestones and sprints for an early-stage, lean team
- Support documentation of technical and product decisions
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among a fully remote, flexible team
- Help shape the roadmap for both MVP and future phases
- Keep us focused on what matters without over-complicating
- Experienced in project management or product management
- Familiar with technical teams, software development cycles, and MVP thinking
- Skilled in coordinating small, remote, volunteer-based teams
- Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage product development
- Organized, proactive, and clear in your communication
- Bonus Interested in food systems, sustainability, or social impact tech
- Help build a climate-aligned platform from the ground up
- Play a key leadership role in shaping the product
- Gain experience managing an early-stage, distributed technical team
- Flexible, remote contribution - no rigid time commitment
- Make a real impact on climate action, sustainability, and community contribution
