The SimpLea Produce Operations Manager works under the guidance of Director of Operations of Center Ventures with the focus of overseeing our hydroponic greenhouse business. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF SIMPLEA PRODUCE OPERATIONS MANAGER :

As the SimpLea Produce Operations Manager, you provide direct leadership and guidance to employees to ensure a high level of product safety and quality, and customer service is achieved and maintained. You will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of staff and employees engaged in greenhouse production, as well as serving personally as a working manager. Additionally, you will help establish and maintain a local / regional base of wholesale and retail customers, which requires the ability to represent our products well and ensure timely delivery to the customers. The SimpLea Produce Manager will manage the work of the Team Leader (supervisor), and assist in providing vocational training and life / work skills guidance to assigned Crew Members in the completion of their tasks. These include, but are not limited to, seeding / propagation of new plants, transferring seedlings to growing areas, monitoring plant growth to ensure plant health and product safety, harvesting plants and preparing them for sale, equipment and growing environment maintenance, etc. The SimpLea Produce Operations Manager also develops and oversees the establishment and monitoring of growing systems, produces checklists, etc., using best practices for the day-to-day activities required to successfully operate the business, and document each element in an up-to-date online operating manual and any other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check upon hire
• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or an Associate's degree in Horticulture, Botany, or a closely related field with two (2) years' experience in managing a greenhouse operation
• Experience in managing business operations with sales / human resource / profit / loss responsibilities preferred
• Ability to work in and manager in a diverse environment with a focus on people with intellectual and / or physical development disorders
• Travel frequently to various customers sites
