Modern Italian restaurant confidentially seeking an Executive Chef to enhance offerings

Responsibilities :

Menu Development & Innovation :

  • Create and update seasonal menus, ensuring a diverse range of offerings that meet the restaurant's theme and customer preferences.
  • Develop special menus for events, holidays, and promotions.
  • Maintain a balance between creativity and cost-efficiency in menu design.

Kitchen Management & Operations :

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Implement and maintain inventory controls, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

    • Leadership & Staff Development :

  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience : A minimum of 5-7 years in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 3 years in an executive chef or head chef role.
  • Education : Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Skills : Strong leadership, menu development, and financial management skills. Proficiency in culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
  • Attributes : Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
