Position Summary:
The Meat Grinder/Marinator is responsible for grinding, processing, and marinating various types of meats according to company specifications and food safety standards. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality meat products are prepared efficiently for distribution.
What you’ll do:
Operate industrial meat grinders and other processing equipment to grind meats to the required texture and consistency.
Prepare and mix marinades following company recipes and specifications to ensure consistency in flavor and quality.
Properly marinate meats according to established procedures, ensuring even distribution of seasoning and proper absorption.
Weigh and portion meat products for packaging and distribution, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
Inspect meat products for freshness, quality, and any defects before processing.
Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of meat and equipment.
Maintain and clean meat processing equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely.
Assist in tracking inventory levels of raw meat, seasonings, and other ingredients, reporting shortages as needed.
Work collaboratively with other production team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures to prevent workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
About you:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in meat processing, food production, or a related field is preferred.
Basic knowledge of meat cuts, processing techniques, and food safety regulations.
Ability to work in cold storage environments and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and safety protocols.
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
Experience operating food processing equipment, such as grinders and mixers, is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production needs.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
