Description
The primary role of the Grinder is to formulate and mix all blends of horseradish and ginger within quality and safety guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Wash roots.
- Accurately pick, measure and blend formulas following standard operating procedures.
- Operate all grinding room machinery and equipment including washer, conveyors and grinder.
- Ensure proper lot coding and work with other departments to ensure timely preparation.
- Prepare samples for lab testing.
- Continually monitor product quality and advise of quality issues.
- Monitor and report on food safety issues when perceived.
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Must be forklift qualified (training available)
- Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- May be required to stoop, climb or stand for long periods.
- Position requires a flexible work schedule
