POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assessing current systems and developing process improvements to create more efficient outcomes relative to customer satisfaction, employee optimization and compliance with HUD guidelines, divisional programmatic requirements and CHA policies and goals. Project management skills should be utilized to ensure projects are successful from inception to completion. Strategies should be implemented to ensure policies, procedures, and HUD requirements, are adhered to in an effort to achieve target goals (departmental, divisional, and authority wide). Critical analysis, problem solving, and the ability to develop solutions independently are essential components for this position.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research and develop reports and presentations.
- Facilitate and/or participate in meetings, training programs, and presentations on behalf of the Property and Asset Management Department.
- Lead and conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of waitlists and leasing activity.
- Collaborate with IT and Property and Asset Management staff on various technical projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of leasing management related functions.
- Facilitate and/or participate in internal and external auditing.
- Coordinate with various internal departments and provide training on various newly developed and implemented processes and systems and provide web portal updated information.
- Evaluate leasing management functions, identify areas of improvement, and develop and implement solutions to improve business processes.
- Monitor and manage all programmatic functions related to leasing goals.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
- Lead and perform user acceptance testing of various system enhancement projects and ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Gather critical information from meetings held with various stakeholders and produce reports in various formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Project, etc.).
- Performs all other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration or related field is required, with a minimum of one to two years of related work experience. A Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration or related field is preferred.
This position requires advanced verbal and written communication skills, advanced analytical and technical skills, advanced problem solving and organizational skills, the ability to exercise objective judgement and discretion in relation to CHA’s policies and procedures and the ability to meet and enforce project deadlines. This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
A working knowledge of HUD Regulations including Fair Housing and all applicable Federal, State, and Municipal laws and regulations is preferred. Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, etc.) is required. Knowledge of Yardi housing management system is highly desired.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
