We are currently looking for a Full Time IT Application Administrator Health to join our IT Health Database Administration team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
Oversees a range of tasks related to computer applications, including tech support and troubleshooting. May provide support directly to end users and may also serve as a liaison between internal teams and external clients. Handles configuration, deployment, proactive monitoring, and maintenance. Evaluates organization's computer systems to determine needed enhancements, conducts research on new technologies and collaborates with coworkers in the IT department to develop plans for improvements and maintenance. Creates instructional materials that explain the systems they help to maintain for users and future employees.
Responsibilities:
- Installs and maintains administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of healthcare application systems
- Understands performance metrics, monitors system performance, and troubleshoots issues
- Manages the logins for different types of access, including login behavior and working environment configuration
- Applies platform and other upgrades and updates to production and non-production environments
- Configures and maintains environment copies according to the environment strategy
- Engages in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources
- Collaborates with technical teams to ensure proactive support
- Writes and maintains scripts to improve system management tasks
- Participates in the change control process for all planned or unplanned applications and technical activities
- Maintains and tests processes related to business continuity
- Follows best practices for hardware and software configuration
- Verify data quality in the Configuration Management database (CMDB) and identify exceptions or risks to CMDB processes
- Tracks EOL and EOS dates to proactively maintain systems
- Mitigates security vulnerabilities
- Identifies, researches, and resolves application-related issues by responding to tickets created in the Incident Management System in a timely manner
- Utilizes IT Service Management Application for work orders, problems, and change documentation and tracking
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
- Greets and engages with a smile

- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
