Job Title: Pro Shop Clerk
General Definition: Provide the Winning Experience to all guests by offering quality customer service and increase revenue through suggestive selling of services and merchandise.
Supervision Received: Golf Professional on duty.
Supervision Exercised: None
Essential Job Functions:

- Every employee is responsible to create a winning experience for our guests. What is a “winning experience”? It encompasses exemplary guest services, salesmanship of our players’ cards and all properties, and a true passion to serve our guests.
- Be able to open and close golf shop and prepare daily sales closeout papers and deposit.
- Assist golf professionals in the purchasing of merchandise.
- Responsible for the receipt, display, inventory control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
- Implement and maintain “Retail” processes on: Gift Certificates, Promotions, Discounts and Comps.
- Other duties include, but are not limited to, point of sale operation, tee times reservation system management with outstanding customer service.
- Enthusiastically greet guests while conducting oneself in a professional manner.
- Assist golf professionals in the day to day operations as directed.
- May be required to enforce golf course rules and policies in the absence of golf professional.
- Be an effective communicator with guests as well as staff.
- Be informed on, and promote all golf course and casino activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be self motivated, with professional and positive attitude, and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to operate a computer and office equipment with excellent team skills.
- Must maintain excellent customer service skills and be able to problem solve.
- Must be able to read, understand, apply and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations and policies.
- Must be able to stand, sit and walk for prolonged periods of time in order to properly perform the assigned job duties.
- Retail buying experience preferred.
Training and Experience:
- Retail and customer service experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
- Must be able to be insured and drive a tribal vehicle if necessary
