What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at The Child Center Of NY, Inc.?
- Must be enrolled in College or be a College graduated
- In some cases, the Program Coordinator may be the key point person, responsible for overall operations and contract deliverables associated with a program site (Act as Site Director in director’s absence).
- Provide clerical support in all aspects of programming.
- Ensure that all emergency procedures are adhered to (i.e. fire), particularly as defined by licensure agents.
- Assist in completion of administrative tasks (i.e. attendance, program modifications, monthly reports, data base system, time sheets, filing system).
- Ensure compliance with participant enrollment documents.
- Share in outreach, supervision and training of multifaceted youth work staff, volunteers and participants.
- Assist with scheduling specialized program activities per season.
- Plan and facilitate staff meetings with Site Director about program activities and expected outcomes.
- Implement and maintain effective structures.
- Function as a manager and assist with daily floor operations as needed.
- Interface with school administrators/teachers/parents in regard to program and feedback
- Member of a management team that serves as a liaison between the Child Center of NY and school administration, when operating in a school, or other host setting.
- Responsible to recruit and provide services to participants, develop and nurture programs that operate with appropriate research or evidence, particularly when task provides individual counseling to participants or make necessary referrals.
- Communicate all program events and scheduling needs to Site Director.
- Must possess a friendly, patient, active and approachable demeanor.
- Effective organizational skills and record keeping systems.

- Word processing skills and experience working with spreadsheets.
- Understanding of budgets and ability to manage them effectively.

Part Time Position 20-25 hours a week. Must be available during After school Hours 2:30-7:30pm Mon- Friday (Flexible) Some Saturdays.
