Summary
The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the development of policies and procedures for the program. The Program Coordinator, under the leadership of a Program Director or a Senior Program Director, assigns work, develops, and communicates expected productivity levels to all staff, and prepares and monitors program costs to ensure compliance with program budget.
Essential Functions:
Ensures that program productivity goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Participates in program planning. Identifies gaps in services and programs, and makes recommendations for meeting community needs.
Serves a liaison in the community by doing outreach and promoting the program. Serves as a representative to internal and external stakeholders.
Addresses the special needs of each group served, and assists in making reasonable accommodations for the hearing impaired, physically challenged, or any other disability.
Create/Update Program documents and forms.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Program Director or Senior Program Director manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Program/Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate of Arts Degree or Associate of Sciences Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years’ working on Youth-based program.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Education, or related field.
Master’s Degree in Education, Social Work or other related field.
Bilingual in one or more of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali and others, may be required depending on client needs.
