The Child and Family Guidance Center is currently seeking a full time Clinical Director of the Outpatient Program.
The Clinical Director of Outpatient works within the guidelines, policies, procedures, and mission of The Child & Family Guidance Center and will provide programmatic oversight for the Intake function, the Functional Family Therapy program, and the Outpatient Intern program. They will provide staff supervision and problem-solving support for each service/program. The Clinical Director of Outpatient understands and proactively supports the Agency’s strategic plan and lives its Values
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following Essential Functions:
- Supervise and evaluate program supervisors and coordinators for each role.
- Monitor staff productivity and make recommendations to improve and/or maintain productivity required in contracts/grants.
- Ensure quality improvement & clinical fidelity of all programs.
- Track client satisfaction survey and review measures regarding customer satisfaction.
- Monitor case records and ensure they are complete and current.
- Ensure cases are adequately and fairly being assigned to staff using productivity measurements.
- Monitor in conjunction with the Finance program budgets to ensure that expenditures are appropriately spent.
- Ensure that all program/service staff are supervised and evaluated annually.
- Secure and maintain licensure for programs/service if applicable.
- Assist the Behavioral Health Unit Director in developing & implementing new programs in response to community needs.
- Represent the agency at local community or statewide meetings. Promote program services.
- Work with Behavioral Health Unit Director, to develop procedures for the agency.
- Work with other program directors to ensure continuity and comprehensiveness of services to clients.
- Provide direct supervision of the OPCC intake process to ensure that all contracted funder expectations concerning both quality and quantity are adhered to.
- Perform other duties, as needed, designated by the Unit Director of Behavioral Health
- Be familiar with Enhanced Care Clinic standards as specified by Carelon.
- Maintain proactive intern recruitment, provide training to and hire trained interns pre- and post-graduation.

Qualifications:
- The position requires a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage & family therapy or a Ph.D. in psychology.
- A minimum of five years of experience in mental health and/or child welfare with at least three in an administrative position.
- LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Ph.D., must be licensed by the state of Connecticut.
- Superior clinical skills to assess and treat child, adolescent and family mental health issues.
- Some knowledge of MS Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills across business groups internally and outside the organization.
