What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker position at The Child & Family Institute?
The Child & Family Institute (CFI) and its nonprofit Weissman Children’s Foundation (WCF) are mission-driven organizations dedicated to raising the standard of mental healthcare by offering highly specialized, evidence-based psychological treatments to every child, family, and young adult, regardless of their ability to pay. Founded by President, CEO, and Chief Psychologist, Adam S. Weissman, PhD, CFI and WCF strive to break down generations-old, nationwide barriers to accessing quality mental healthcare in underserved communities and communities of color.
Clinician
CFI is currently accepting applications for licensed Clinical Psychologists and/or Social Workers to fill several in-person positions in Westchester County. CFI has office locations in Scarsdale, White Plains, Tarrytown, Rye Brook, Harrison and Mt. Kisco. The clinician will be involved in the broad array of experiences available at CFI but specifically to provide in-person individual, family and group CBT/DBT in Westchester. Clinicians will have the opportunity to take part in comprehensive didactics programming, in-house case conferences, and continuing education opportunities through CFI’s CE Training Program. **Licensed psychologists may also have the opportunity to supervise students and take part in teaching opportunities through Columbia University.
Qualifications
Psychology candidates will have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or school-clinical psychology, as well as a one-year, pre-doctoral internship placement in clinical psychology
Social work candidates will have completed an MSW program and be licensed as either a LMSW or LCSW
Candidates must be licensed in NY and will be open to pursuing licensure in one additional state
Prior specialized training/experience with evidence-based treatments

Compensation and Benefits
This is an independent contractor position. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes substantial opportunities for growth, ranging from $75,000 - $200,000 annually.
Based on the candidates' interests and experience, there are opportunities to lead/co-lead workshops in the community; collaborate on research and/or writing projects; take on supervisory and program development roles within CFI and the communities we serve; and obtain further training and/or experience in specialized cognitive and behavioral therapies for youth emotional, behavior, attention and habit disorders.
Clinicians will collaborate with our exceptional team of more than 50 behavioral health specialists, consultants, and volunteers throughout the United States, and may participate in program development efforts integrating service delivery, clinical research, and social and health justice advocacy through the Weissman Children’s Foundation (WCF). Our new partner nonprofit organization allows clinicians to have a broad-based impact on issues of national and global mental healthcare by joining WCF board meetings and task forces focused on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), communications (including writing for the Blog and social media), and equity, effectiveness, and implementation science research, as we work toward our common goal of accessible, affordable evidence-based care for all.
