Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for developing and writing grant proposals, managing the grant application process, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements (grant administration including preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly reports on time to ensure payments). Reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
· Researching potential funding opportunities
· Writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals.
· Gather information for proposals.
· Developing budgets for grant applications
· Collaborating with the Executive Director targeting prospect research to identify new funding opportunities
· Editing and proofreading proposals before submission
· Maintaining a calendar of submissions and reporting deadlines
· Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly reports to the grant providers to ensure timely reimbursements.
Experience:
· Proven experience in Federal Government, State Government, Foundation and other grant writing, proposal development and grant reporting
· Strong technical writing skills
· Ability to conduct thorough research.
· Proficiency in budgeting and program development
· Strategic planning skills for grant acquisition
· Familiarity with databases for tracking grants and reporting
· Experience in program development
· Knowledge of strategic planning
· Proficiency in Proposal Writing
· Strong proofreading abilities
