Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to serve meals to children. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen environment.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and equipment is properly stored.
- Serve meals within expected time frame for each age level.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and cooking appliances, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the director on menu substitutions for children with allergies and/or dietary restrictions.
- Participate in inventory management by helping to track supplies and report shortages to management.
- Fill in weekly order sheet and return to Business Manager in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or catering service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergens for various dietary needs is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
- Must have a friendly, helpful demeanor.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Serv Safe Certification.
