Children’s Center of Wayne County (TCC) The Children’s Center, founded in 1929, provides evidence-based clinical therapy to children who deal with mental, behavioral, emotional, intellectual, and developmental health and educational challenges or may have experienced trauma.
School Community-Based Partnerships: We partner with K-12 schools and community organizations that serve children to provide clinical therapy, counseling, psychological services, and psychiatric evaluations, treatment & interventions.
Child Welfare: In addition to the clinical therapy programs offered, The Children’s Center places children in licensed foster homes, and supports them throughout their time in the child welfare system.
Child Well-being Family Success: We operate an onsite family success center that promotes child-wellbeing and offers children and youth from all walks of life to access relevant mental health crisis prevention and child abuse and neglect prevention services.
Advocacy: We champion child and youth well-being for those experiencing poverty-related issues, those within the child welfare system, and those in need of evidence-based, clinical therapy.

Job Summary
The Human Resource Generalist supports the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Generalist will be a go-to for a range of HR functions. The HR Generalist will be exposed to several facets of HR, while working with various departments, employees, and our leadership team.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and experience working in Human Services preferred
- 3 years Human Resource experience or strong administrative background or the equivalent of education and experience
- Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Basic working knowledge of labor law and employment best practices
Essential Functions
- • Answers employee inquiries on various human resources topics; including payroll, policies, benefits, and the HRIS system within 2 business days
• Manages TCC’s Internship program
• Manages employee medical incident reports
• Manages Sourcing
• Manages Recruitment
• Manages the tuitions reimbursement program
• Processes staff verification, including but not limited to employment verification, student loan forgiveness within 5 business days
• Conducts 90% employee onboarding orientation
• Processes Unemployment Insurance Agency Claims
• Maintains and files EEO-1 report annually on time; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
• Maintains and files OSHA From 300, Occupational Injuries and Illnesses Reports
• Assists with FLMA, ADA and Workers Compensation
• Assist with employee relations including managing Stay Interviews
• Participates in various audit requests
• Involvement in employee relations functions
• Involvement in creating and implementing new policies and procedures
• Continuously analyzes work processes and makes suggestions for improvement
• Serves as a backup to HR Assistant and HR Manager
