Overview
Family Support Provider (FSP) provides individual parenting education and support following guidelines and requirements of the evidence-based model Healthy Families America.
The Family Support Provider will meet with expectant parents and parents with infants and young children in residential facilities, in the parents’ homes and in the community. The FSP will attend individual supervision sessions as well as team supervision, trainings and meetings as required. The FSP will document their contacts with clients in electronic data records and generate reports of their work as needed.
Family Support Providers are knowledgeable in community services and the experiences the families in the program face. Family Support Providers demonstrate a strong ability to work with people at different ages and life stages, living in challenging circumstances and within diverse cultures. Family Support Providers are responsible for providing a strength-based, comprehensive home visiting services and implementing an evidence-based parenting curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate knowledge of infant mental health, early childhood development and positive parenting practices. Experience delivering an evidence-based parenting program, such as Parents as Teachers, Healthy Families and/or Circle of Security Parenting is a plus.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or a related field.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience working with individuals who experience homelessness, addiction, mental illness, and other challenges.
Salary : $49,000 - $53,000
