Overview
Under the supervision of the Lead Case Manager, the CRIS Case Manager oversees the daily activities of unaccompanied children in Center for Refugee and Immigrant Services. This role coordinates services, ensures the safety and well-being of youth, and manages reunification and placement planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of up to 8 children, completing all necessary documentation.
- Conduct intake assessments and ongoing safety evaluations.
- Coordinate with clinicians, Lead Case Managers, and federal representatives for case reviews and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with Protected Health Information (HIPAA) and ORR guidelines.
- Facilitate timely submission of family reunification packets and necessary sponsor documents.
- Use professional judgment to evaluate sponsor suitability and placement conditions.
- Maintain accurate case management records.
- Provide foster family support, education, and supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in child welfare or related services.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Master’s degree in human services or social sciences preferred.
- Experience with immigrant populations, unaccompanied minors, or refugees preferred.
Work Environment
- Includes office settings, foster homes, schools, and occasional community environments.
