OVERVIEW:
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis seeks an Infrastructure Project Intern to join our Facilities and Operations team. This intern will assist in planning, managing, and executing facility improvement projects that support the museum’s ongoing development and growth including renovations, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) replacement and repair projects, room and space documentation, contractor meetings, communication with colleagues, documentation, and various administrative tasks.

Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate with full-time project managers and Directors for planning scope, budget, and details of current and future projects.
- Collect, manage, and distribute all relevant project documentation.
- Work directly with contractors/vendors to accomplish project work and track/report progress.
- Use project scheduling and tracking tools/software and communications methods.
- Help with logistical tasks such as equipment moves, room set-ups, signage, and other facilities improvements.
- Maintain organization and accountability for tools and materials/supplies.
Requirements

- Be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Project Management, or related disciplines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
- Prior experience with infrastructure projects, facility management, or project coordination is preferred but not required.
