Job Purpose
The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in shaping and executing the hospitals social media strategy, working closely with the Corporate Communications team to elevate brand awareness and engagement. This role is responsible for developing compelling content across multiple social media platforms for Bethany Childrens Health Center and its partners (Healthy Schools Oklahoma, Safe Kids Oklahoma). The ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated, and passionate about our mission.
Key responsibilities include managing an editorial calendar, crafting engaging post copy, creating and editing short-form videos and social graphics, supporting digital campaigns and event promotions, fostering community engagement, and analyzing performance metrics. This position requires an in-depth understanding of social media trends and best practices to help expand our reach and impact.
Additionally, the Social Media Specialist will take the lead in developing content and dictating the overall strategydetermining what is posted, when it is posted, and in what formatto maximize audience engagement and brand consistency across platforms.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, English or a related field.
Experience:
2-4 years of relevant experience in social media management or content creation.Strong writing and content development skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms, organic and paid social media, and reputation management.
Experience capturing high-quality photos and video using a professional camera.
Ability to edit photos and videos (including reels) for digital engagement.
Graphic design experience is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
Familiarity with real-time analytics and performance reporting.
