Zanesville Alliance Church in Zanesville, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Pastor For Youth.
Zanesville Alliance Church is a healthy active church with ministry for all ages. It is a good church to begin in ministry or to gain a fresh start with good leaders who care about your life. We are seeking individuals who have a growing personal relationship with Jesus as their Savior, a love for His Word, and a love for the body of Christ, His Church. The individual should have a passion for impacting students for Christ by reaching out to them with the Gospel and shepherding them in their faith, seeking to build a firm foundation to carry them throughout their lives.
Objective:
To offer a young Christian leader the opportunity to serve full-time in the local church and to grow in leadership and ministry skills while serving the church body. We aim to provide a strong foundation for a young leader called to ministry.
Personal Character:
- Must have a growing personal relationship with Jesus as your Savior, a love for His Word, and a love for the body of Christ, His Church.
- Must be prepared to live at a high level of personal character and integrity consistent with scriptural qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9) and ready to serve God’s church.
- Must be committed to living a consistent, exemplary life as a mature believer as a positive example for students and other church members to follow.
Qualifications:
- The ability to articulate your divine call to serve God in vocational Christian ministry, specifically in student ministry.
- Display a love for student ministry and a desire to help students grow, follow, and live for Jesus.
- Capable of serving alongside a pastoral team in a supportive role to provide assistance and leadership in our student ministry and other congregational ministries as needed.
- Must display evidence of the Alliance Core Characteristics: Kingdom-minded, Biblically-grounded, Spirit-dependent, Competently-skilled, Self-aware, and Self-disciplined.

Expectations:
- Oversee and direct the ministry to students from 6th-12th grades (ages 12-18) with the goal to glorify God in building a healthy community that encourages students to live for and follow Christ.
- Fulfill all necessary administrative duties in overseeing/directing student ministry (i.e. budgeting, reports, monthly meetings, etc.).
- Empowering and encouraging our students in discipleship and evangelism.
- Planning and executing ministry opportunities/outreaches to students with the aim of reaching unchurched students in our community.
- Set an example for those under your care and pray for those entrusted to you.
- To inform and build trust with parents and guardians as you serve with integrity the students that they entrust to your care.
- To lead, recruit, equip, and support adult and student leaders, serving together to lead others in student ministry.
- Serving as a team player in assisting and supporting the Senior Pastor and other staff to carry out delegated responsibilities for the glory of God and the good of the church.
- Participation in Sunday morning ministries as called on and in other areas of church ministry as necessary.

This position is full-time, and compensation will reflect what is fair for candidate’s experience and our geographical region.
