The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our international subsidiaries. In this role, you will evaluate and enhance internal financial controls, prepare accurate financial reports, analyze budget variances, and ensure the timely processing of monthly wire transfers. You'll also play a key role in tracking designated funds while ensuring strict compliance with all government regulations and corporate policies. Additionally, you’ll train and manage in-country Accounting Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration across our global operations. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Proven expertise in accounting and financial analysis, with a track record of driving financial insights
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (with a strong focus in Accounting)
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with GAAP, IFRS, and FCPA regulations
- Familiarity with general auditing procedures and a keen eye for accuracy
- Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and business practices
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills and a sharp attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex financial data clearly
- Highly organized with excellent project management, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Adaptable, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Self-driven and proactive, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed
- CPA certification or CPA candidate status is a plus
