Job Description
The Church Communication Department Church Hosting Office welcomes and hosts VIP guests from across the globe including world dignitaries, government officials, religious leaders, and many others.
This position plays an integral role in helping to ensure that each guest feels God’s love and has the best possible experience with the Savior’s Church.
This internship will give you hands-on experience with hosting, guest experience, office communications, and more. It will also provide you with an opportunity to work with Church volunteers and employees from across the world and global VIP guests.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Hosting team with internal and external communication, including with General Authorities, Area Managers, vendors, and others
- Assist with organization of the Hosting Directors’ calendars and schedules, including appointments, and in-person and virtual meetings
- Assist with logistics, scheduling, and arrangements of all the office Hosting couples’ guests
- Help train and support newly called Hosting couples
- Coordinate and schedule in-person and virtual meetings and events for the office
- Help maintain and organize essential documents, records, and files
- Help strengthen relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers
- Help plan and coordinate office events, meetings, and other events including General Conference, Christmas concerts and dinners, summer concerts, BYU Law and Religion Symposium, and others
- Help prepare Hosting Reports and briefing packets for distribution
- Support the Hosting team with office technology, including computers, software, office equipment, and conference room technology
- Manage and oversee other administrative tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university OR graduated within the last year
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft 365 products including Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote
- Excellent communication skills—verbal and written
- Ability to build relationships and trust
- Ability to maintain sensitive information
- Ability to work with people from all levels of the organization and from across the world
- Experience in an office setting
- A team player
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Duration: Up to 12 months
- Hours: Part-time, Up to 28 hours/week
- Location: Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City and remote
