What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk,Accounting 2, Family History Department, full-time, on-site position at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?
The Family History Department is looking for an energetic individual who is a self-starter and can work within a team environment. The successful candidate needs to be detail oriented, can communicate clearly with individuals inside and outside the organization. Must be able to work under the pressure of being able to process many invoices from contractors and vendors in a timely manner. Must be able to communicate and work with the rest of the Finance Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to do the work remotely (from home) one day a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Monitor daily the FHD-Invoices@Familysearch.org email account.
- Process invoices for the following Divisions:
- Administration
- Finance
- Contract Compliance
- Design and Engineering
- Human Resources
- Process the Contract Worker Invoices (can be weekly or bi-weekly)
- Update the Contract Worker Analysis with new SROWs
- Process Camera Operator Invoices for assigned homelands
- Process the Journals for the monthly Deposits for both FHD Deposits and FSI Deposits.
- Record and process journals for IROPs
- Upload MME requests
- Process Journals for the Temple Support Allocations
- Process wires for International Invoices
- Research and resolve payment issues
- Create and record Journals for Accounts Receivable
- Keep invoice tracker spreadsheet updated
- Record any funds that come in on a daily basis
- Submit new vendor information as needed
- Backup the other Accounting Clerk
- Completion of two years of college level accounting courses or the equivalent training in banking operations.
- Proficiency at an Intermediate Level with Excel.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.A minimum of two years of experience in accounting clerical or banking operations work or the equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to operate a calculator and personal computer operating in a network environment with a demonstrated proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Working knowledge and understanding of fundamental accounting and bookkeeping principles, methods, and office procedures.
Demonstrated proficiency with detail work.
