Job Description
The North America FamilySearch Center Operations Manager is immersed in the needs and opportunities associated with Operational FamilySearch Centers. They help implement the Family History Department’s mission, purpose statement, and quality standards of inspiration, trust, kindness, effectiveness, and simplicity.
Being curious and developing a deep understanding of the customer, and staff, experience within centers and how the centers influence their communities is required. The position requires managing professional internal and external relationships, such as priesthood leaders, and those with family history callings. The Specialist creates training modules and manages outbound and inbound communication needs. Travel may be required for in person training of FamilySearch Center Coordinators.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business related disciplines
Work Experience: 7 years business leadership experience
Ability to lead others in making and keeping commitments
Ability to build the capability of others including those with medical, emotional, mental conditions
A passion for customer service and entrepreneurship
Must be able to work well under pressure, and to give clear instructions.
Must be patient and compassionate with team members, seeking to understand why they act the way they do in order to help them maximize their contribution.

Responsibilities
- Assist with overseeing the Operational FamilySearch Center experience
- Conduct regular scheduled one on one meetings with Operational Center Coordinators
- Conduct regularly scheduled Coordination Meeting with all operational FSC Coordinators
- May interact with local priesthood leaders to determine Center needs
- Mentor and hold training sessions for newly called Center Coordinators
- Attend and support local Leadership Counsels for Operational FamilySearch Center coordination
- Creation of training modules
- Creation of communication assets
- Coordinate with FamilySearch Outreach and Events to support local needs
- Collaborate closely with FamilySearch Center Solutions team
- Communication with FamilySearch Regional Managers
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business related disciplines
Work Experience: 7 years business leadership experience
- Excellent verbal communication – be able to work through conflict-management
- Excellent written communication
- Master of time management and follow-through
- Instructional Design and training development experience
- Self-starter and independent worker
- Problem-solving skills
