We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Reporting Business Lead to join our global ERP digital transformation team. The successful candidate will take the lead on the finance and analytics reporting, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and alignment of financial reports and analytics throughout the transformation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting Management and Process Establishment: Ensure the finance and analytics reporting inventory and design updates are tracked, assessed, and approved. Establish processes, roles, responsibilities, and governance structures to effectively track financial reporting and analytics changes.
- Requirements, Data Integrity and Governance: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment on reporting and analytics changes. Maintain the accuracy and consistency of financial reports and analytics, ensuring they meet business requirements and support decision-making. Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to manage financial reporting and analytics changes.
- Collaboration and Issue Resolution: Work with the Financial Master Data Lead to ensure reporting design updates (e.g., hierarchies) are coordinated through the design and build effort. Identify and resolve issues related to financial reporting and analytics, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial reporting structures, changes, and governance processes. Identify opportunities for improving financial reporting and analytics processes and implement best practices.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on financial reporting and analytics processes.
Key Challenges:
- Coordinating and aligning financial reporting and analytics design updates across multiple teams while ensuring these changes meet business requirements, comply with governance standards, and align with the overall transformation goals.
- Establishing and maintaining standardized processes and governance structures to effectively track, document, and approve financial reporting and analytics changes, while addressing any gaps or inconsistencies in roles and responsibilities.
- Ensuring alignment and coordination across multiple teams (e.g., testing, change management, integrations) while keeping financial reporting updates on track and meeting deadlines, all while addressing post-implementation feedback and continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in financial reporting, analytics, or a related role, preferably in a large-scale ERP implementation.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and analytics methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Financial Reporting or related fields.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
