Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way.
This position provides routine cashier duties. Requires basic understanding of cash register operations and cash handling procedures. May monitor public access to building or location. Provides products to customers in a manner which promotes helpful, positive feelings.
This is an entry-level individual contributor role which works under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities
- Determines the price of items selected by a customer, enters the price into the cash register to determine the total sale price.
- Receives payment (cash or credit card), makes appropriate change, and issues a receipt.
- Responds to questions from customers about the merchandise, prices, and availability.
- Notifies supervisor about merchandise returns for refunds.
- Restocks and straightens merchandise, and keeps the work area neat and clean.
- May provide food preparation and housekeeping duties in surrounding work areas during "off peak" work periods.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in customer service, cashiering or other, similar role
- Basic math skills
- Promotes positive interaction with customers
- Good communication skills
- Previous cashiering experience
