Job Description
This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational and training experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in an actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and must be able to work on-site at the Church Office Building at least three days per week. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are the preferred in office days. There is some flexibility to work around the intern’s class schedule.
This is a 12-month internship. Hours worked must be between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Hours worked will not exceed 20 hours per week. This internship position represents a unique and exciting opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals, receive great pay, and contribute to the Lord's work in a meaningful way. The position is working within Purchasing Division, with offices located at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, UT. Some of the responsibilities of the intern include vendor relationship development and management, contract negotiation and completion of contracts for the acquisition of services. The intern will be involved in work such as analyzing complex data, creating Adobe Forms and creating reports summarizing that data, monitoring contract expirations and renewals and providing follow up to end users. Additional projects and duties will be assigned as the intern demonstrates mastery of assigned work.

REQUIRED
- Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation
- They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter
- Background in finance, accounting, law, supply chain or a field related to this work is desired
- Experience in creating and working with Adobe Forms is essential for this position
- Confident in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerBI, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams, Tableau)
- Proven organizational skills, detail oriented
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to interact well in a team environment
- Excellent understanding and ability to communicate in English
