This job profile for this posting is Systems Analy Advisor which is a band 4 Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing, designing, and preparing application and system specifications for information systems solutions to address business needs and methods for testing and installing them.
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user defined needs.
- Devise or modify procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
- Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- Work with management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes and in application design, testing, and implementation processes (e.g., diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, tools, etc.).
- Coordinate activities with other IT sections (e.g., database, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.).
- Act as a technical resource for development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process and perform quality assurance reviews.
- Work closely with business users and end users to elicit requirements for projects.
- Analyze systems and present impact analysis to business and technical teams.
- Write business requirements for scrum teams.
- Aid product owners and scrum teams, provide clarifications on requirements and workflows, and ensure that teams have the resources required to complete projects, including gap analysis, current and future workflows, UML diagrams, and clear and concise business requirements.
- Participate in release planning, sprint planning sessions, and sprint reviews.
- Perform impact analysis for new user stories and new features being developed to ensure that system operates smoothly and as expected.
- Analyze how other systems will be impacted by new user stories and features.
- Write user stories for various systems.
- Support batch/real time transactions in production environment and resolve any issues.
- Part-time telecommuting permitted.
Qualifications
- Position requires a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering plus five years of experience as a healthcare technology consultant or closely related position.
- Must have experience with:
- Healthcare Standards, such as HIPAA, X12, and Clinical Terminologies;
- Healthcare Workflows, such as Payer Workflows, Claims workflows, Pharmacy Benefit Management workflows, Health and Wellness Products workflows, and Prior Authorization workflows;
- Waterfall and Agile (Scrum);
- Business Analysis Tools, such as Visio, Balsamiq, Excel, Power Point, Word, and Smartsheet;
- Management Tools, such as JIRA, Rally, TFS, Confluence (Atlassian), SharePoint, and Azure Dev Ops;
- Data Profiling Tools, such as Talend Studio;
- Development Tools, such as Debugger, File-Aid/File-manager, Sort, Platinum, SPUFI, QMF, and FTP;
- Windows or Z/OS Environments; Programming Languages, including COBOL, JCL, REXX, and SQL;
- Databases, including DB2, IMS, VSAM, and Oracle.
