Responsibilities
Your Role:
- Responsible for processing semi-monthly payrolls using ADP for approximately 750 employees located in US
- Assist in processing semi-monthly payrolls for approximately 750 employees with duties, not limited to: preparing new hire, leaver and pay change files; calculating vacation entitlement; interpreting payroll change reports and creating audit files and preparing journal entries
- Create and update reports and/or spreadsheets such as, but not limited to: payroll audit; pension reconciliation; overtime; benefits and investigate/resolve any discrepancies
- Calculate and update prorated vacation adjustments into Oracle Fusion (the Company’s HRIS)
- Liaise with Finance on direct deposit information updates, debit advise, audit approvals and suffix runs
- Respond in a timely manner to inquiries from HR, Finance, managers, employees and third party agencies
- Maintain digital employee and pay period change files
- Support ad hoc projects and perform other duties and responsibilities inherent to the position as required
About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or HR
- 4-5 years’ experience in full cycle payroll administration
- CPP Certification completed or in progress
- Experience working with a payroll software platform required; Ceridian Dayforce experience an asset
- Able to self-prioritize work, with excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Able to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion and tact
- Curious and proactive in asking questions
- Possess computer proficiency, with demonstrated competence in Word, Excel and HR Systems
- Able to deal with conflicting priorities and demanding workload
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
