Job Summary:
Through a strong Christian worldview, the Resident Assistant (RA) is a frontline communicator and is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all people and property at Laura’s Home.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensures Safety and Security
- Maintains the safety & security of Laura’s Home– all people and property – by following procedures and enforcing rules and boundaries.
- Monitors resident activities
- Responds to all incidents and emergency situations
- Performs physical rounds of buildings and property
- Performs searches of bags
- Watches security cameras for irregularities, concerns, or problems
- Maintains safe and clean front desk
Frontline Communication
- Communicates courteously and professionally with all callers, visitors, and residents.
- Refers residents and callers to appropriate staff.
- Documents all shift activities, including incident reports and resident behaviors.
- Completes intake paperwork and reviews rules with new residents.
