Branch Operations Officer
Job Summary:
The Branch Operations Officer will plan, direct, coordinate, oversee and train operations activities in the department, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the company. The Branch Operations Officer will report directly to the Branch President.
Supervisory Responsibilities (With Branch President Assistance & Approval):
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the Operations Department including teller and New Account personnel.
- Oversees the development and enforcement of daily operating procedures for the branch network of offices.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations to the Branch President.
- Recommends discipline leading up to termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Responsible for proper record keeping and retention of all discipline handled within the branch and any necessary reporting to Human Resources Department for documentation in the employee’s personnel file.
- Backup New Accounts and Tellers as needed
- Scheduling
- Facilitate bimonthly meetings to keep staff informed of updates, changes, upcoming events, etc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge in the roles of Teller and New Accounts Representative to monitor that they are operating in accordance with the Bank’s established policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with other leaders to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operational projects and systems.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrates a helpful and friendly attitude and trains others as well.
- Maintains the department to ensure the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
- Stays in constant contact with the Branch President about the operations within the department.
- Facilitates maintenance and repairs to equipment and recommends the purchase of new equipment.
- Identifies training needs and ensures a proper training plan is developed and maintained.
- Responsible for scheduling and filling in when needed in the teller and new accounts areas.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum age 18
- Previous managerial experience is preferred.
- Five years experience as a bank teller.
- Two years experience as a Supervisor.
- Complete and pass all required training courses as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Occasional travel for this position is required.
