The Part-Time Lifeguard II, under the supervision of the Country Club Fitness & Pool Manager and Lifeguard III is responsible for the safety of patrons at the Country Club. The lifeguard II is to provide safe supervision of patrons, enforce rules and regulations and do related work, including maintenance, as required. Lifeguards may also be called upon to assist with special events, answer inquiries from the public, provide information on pool events and activities and provide exemplary customer service. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of water safety and rescue, first aid and CPR techniques. Have the ability to professionally assess a safety situation and apply the proper first aid/CPR, water safety and rescue skills as needed. In addition, must work within a team environment giving direction when needed and following the direction of others as required. Ability to keep records and prepare reports. Ability to resolve disciplinary problems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with the general public, co-workers, parents, campers and supervisors.High School graduate or equivalent.
Current certification in Jeff Ellis and Associates International Pool and Water Park Lifeguard Training License.
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Minimum of (1) year experience working as a lifeguard in an aquatics facility.The City of Coral Gables is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Drug Free Workplace.
