JOB SUMMARY
Serves as a key member of the Street Department team. The Office Services position is responsible for answering the phones, manage and update all work order lists and other office support for the Street Department. This position reports to the Street Commissioner
Knowledge of general office procedures such as: typing, file management, and correspondence is a must. The position requires confidentiality and may be modified as needed by the Street Commissioner.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer phones and provides responsive and courteous service to vendors, residents and other City employees. .
- Dispatch orders by telephone and radio to crew leaders and supervisors.
- Follow up on phone calls for citizen complaints.
- Greet visitors at front door.
- Keep track of outside gate to allow entry from other departments and deliveries.
- Keep GIS road closure map updated during construction season.
- Manage and update all work order lists. (patching, grading, leaves, etc)
- Keep the city website updated and current.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep Street Department employees up to date regarding schedules. (leaves, etc)
- Be aware of asphalt and concrete schedules to inform callers who inquire on road closures.
- Keep track of supplies and inform when ordering is needed.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent GED.
- Must be detail oriented.
- At least One (1) year office/clerical experience.
- Must have good organizational and computer skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a 40 plus hours per week standard office environment.
DRUG TEST REQUIRED
