Youth and Adult Umpires for the City of La Porte Softball and Baseball Leagues.
Salary Range: $15.00 to $30.00 (depending on League)
The City of La Porte Park & Recreation Department is currently looking for Youth and Adult Umpires for the City of La Porte softball and baseball leagues.
Youth and adult umpires are responsible for officiating league games and tournaments.
Should have knowledge of the rules of the game through personal study and by attendance at rule interpretation meetings.
Ability to maintain a working relationship with staff and public.
Will be required to officiate games according to established standards of conduct and uniform for that sport (e.g. softball or baseball).
May be exposed to all weather conditions especially extreme heat and sun.
Current CPR and First Aid certification welcomed.
Background check will be performed.
This position is seasonal. Open until filled.
