What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Secretary position at The City of Lampasas?
The City of Lampasas is now accepting applications for a Public Works Secretary. Under supervision of the Public Works Director, must perform secretarial and administrative duties required to support multiple departments, primarily within Public Works. Duties would include, but not limited to, answering telephones in a courteous and professional manner, create and process work orders, prepare monthly and weekly reports, process purchase orders, prepare bid packets, assist with budget preparation, and assist with preparing City Council agenda items.
Must have experience in Microsoft Word and Excel. High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in municipal government or a combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities equal to two years.
Starting hourly rate is $15.66, based on experience, plus excellent benefits.
