The Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Public Works Technician in the Water Reclamation section. This is a full-time, benefited position working under direction of a Crew Leader, Field Supervisor, and the Division Manager. This position is responsible for performing specialized duties related to the wastewater collection system and equipment maintenance. Technicians are also required to be on-call periodically and respond to after-hour callouts.
Qualifications
- High School graduation or equivalent.- Must possess and maintain a valid Utah Commercial Drivers License (or obtain within 60 days of hire) and appropriate certifications.
Pay and Benefits
The current salary range for Public Works Technicians starts at $20.21 hourly ($42,035.87 annually) and is in a Hybrid Step/Career-Ladder pay program that allows for automatic raises on the anniversary of an employees hire/position date (step) and career advancement based on meeting certain requirements (career ladder). New hires with previous comparable experience may be placed higher in the Public Works Technician I Entry depending on previous experience, qualifications, and certifications.
