The Academic Program Coordinator will report to Admin Specialist (HE Assistant). This role is crucial in facilitating effective
communication between students and faculty, particularly within the Biology major, and in supporting students' academic
success through a variety of administrative and advisory functions.

- Serve as a primary point of contact for current and former students, faculty, and staff, addressing inquiries via phone,
- Facilitate communication between students and faculty advisors to enhance understanding and engagement within the
- Assist students with the completion of forms and requests to administrative offices such as the Bursar and Registrar,
- Address course registration issues, including obtaining special permissions, requisite approvals, and facilitating waiver
- Maintain accurate records for Change of Grade forms; gather necessary documentation for transfer credit evaluations
- Help coordinate course scheduling and ensure students have access to essential registration information and textbook
- Assist in maintaining and updating departmental course rosters to ensure accurate tracking of course offerings and
- Support the management of departmental databases related to curriculum, major lists, and student records through
- Assist in organizing and administering departmental student engagement activities, such as workshops and seminars, to
- Provide general academic advisement to students in the Biology major, helping them navigate their academic paths
- Contribute to the development of training materials and workshops to support new faculty in understanding academic
- Supervises part-time college assistants and work-study students assigned to assist with relevant duties.
- Drafts advising notices and other related correspondence on behalf of the department.
Bachelor's Degree required.

- Supports the directors and managers with orientation preparation, student advisement regarding program requirements, and providing basic information about financial aid and registration
- Manages office records including faculty files; prepares reports and surveys; collects and maintains statistical data on program activities
- Serves as liaison to various College offices to provide service delivery and appropriate referrals to students
- Collects and reviews syllabi to ensure compliance with standards
- Serves as resource person for students and faculty regarding program policies and procedures
- May supervise office operations and/or monitor department budget
- Performs related duties as assigned.
