The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY SoM) located in the heart of Harlem, New York, is the only medical school in the City University of New York system and the only public medical school in Manhattan. Building upon 50 years of success as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, the institution transitioned to the CUNY School of Medicine (SoM) in 2016. The CUNY SoM offers an accelerated BS/MD degree (7-year program) and a Physician Assistant Master’s Degree (27 months program). Responsibilities
The Admissions Department is currently seeking an Administrative Coordinator. The incumbent will report to the Director of Enrollment. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview duties include but are not limited to the following responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred
Experience facilitating payment for services pertaining admissions office.

Salary Range: $44,411- $62,689
Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities
The Admissions Department is currently seeking an Administrative Coordinator. The incumbent will report to the Director of Enrollment. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview duties include but are not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Monitor administrative tasks related to procurement, including processing purchase orders and requisitions, and obtaining necessary approvals utilizing CUNYFirst and CUNYBuy.
- Assist with data entry and manage correspondence with prospective students and their families, utilizing both email and in-person communication to provide information, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience throughout the admissions process.
- Help maintain organized electronic files for prospective students to ensure easy access and retrieval of information.
- Support the planning and execution of student recruitment events, including Open Houses, Welcome Receptions, and special events for the SoM; coordinate logistics, manage schedules, and ensure all materials and resources are prepared and available for each event.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions in accordance with institutional policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic records for the Office of Admissions to support operational efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of administrative reports to track recruitment activities and outcomes.
- Represent the institution by speaking at various events and information sessions, providing guidance to students on applying to the CUNY School of Medicine and the PA Program.
- Attend and actively participate in both in-person and virtual recruitment events to promote the institution.
- Support with the administrative management of the Health Professions Mentorship Program (HPMP) and the Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program (HPREP) including program coordinator and scheduling.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment or designee.
Bachelor's Degree required.

- Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students.
- Counsel’s prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed.
- Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large.
- Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials.
- Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed.
- Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
