Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and collecting specimens for laboratory testing while ensuring a positive experience for patients. Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling on patients of all ages.
- Collect and label specimens accurately according to established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures and safety regulations.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout the blood collection process.
- Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Document all procedures and maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital policies.
- Assist in the training of new staff or interns on proper phlebotomy techniques.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure timely processing of specimens.
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology related to phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
- Experience in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory environments and hospital settings.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Previous experience with blood sampling and laboratory techniques is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in phlebotomy or relevant field is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.52 per hour
