What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development and Sales Analyst position at The Clearing House?
Position summary: This position is focused on identifying new client opportunities and generating leads for our Client Department. The role includes assisting sales team develop new accounts, facilitating proactive customer contacts, providing follow-up on inbound requests from marketing campaigns, industry forums and other activities, and developing relationships across TCH product lines (CHIPS, ACH, RTP® network and check image exchange). S/he is expected to support the sales team in answering customer questions, conducting presentations, and closing sales. S/he will be part of a growing team within the Customer Relationship Management and Sales organization, liaising with all products at The Clearing House.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn about sales and the financial services market
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and additional suite products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a complex ecosystem
- Must have strong attention to detail oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications desired:
- 2 years' experience in a financial or banking environment
- Exposure to sales processes including sales tools such as Salesforce
- Have depth in finding and analyzing market data
- Knowledge of core payment systems (ACH, check, wire, card and real-time)
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Manage leads from variety of sources including inbound request from industry forums and activities
- Respond to customer inquiries related to becoming a TCH participant
- Support sales pipeline process and necessary paperwork
- Assist sales team with customer contacts
- Work with marketing to coordinate business development industry event registrations as well as booth
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales Engineering, Client Services, Client Relationship
- Gather and disseminate market insights and intelligence obtained through calling, industry relations and
- Support prospect inquiries
- Assure adherence to TCH internal guidelines and standards
- Other duties as assigned

Physical demands and work environment:
Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required.
Employees will report to the office two to three days each week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
