POSITION SUMMARY
Pricing Specialist is responsible for implementing pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability for a company. The Pricing Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure pricing strategies are effectively communicated and executed. They monitor cost and pricing performance, evaluate the impact of pricing changes, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Ultimately, a Pricing Specialist plays a crucial role in driving pricing decisions that maximize revenue while maintaining a competitive position in the market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Analyzes Predicted versus Actual cost and margin, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Works with Strategic Pricing Manager to develop pricing strategy and provides real-time pricing support to align with company objectives and market dynamics.
- Interfaces with subject matter experts to accurately estimate costs.
- Maintain strategic job list and backlog changes/adjustments from initial proposal through final business award.
- Support Sales and Leadership with weekly and quarterly reports on sales, profitability, market share
- Support Strategic Pricing Manager with various activities, including but not limited to:
- Price Guide maintenance
- Discount multiplier schedule revisions
- Lead time spreadsheet revisions
- Other Documentation revisions
- Analyze pricing data, and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for price optimization and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and communicated.
- Identify and mitigate potential pricing risks and challenges, proactively proposing solutions to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
- Assist with review and launch of value-added product options/services that enhance existing marketing strategies for increased profitability.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
Experience: Relevant prior experience in pricing
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office 365 proficiency is required.
Certificates & Licenses: N/A
Other Requirements: Pricing Specialists should also have communication skills and in-depth understanding of products to provide accurate pricing proposals.
