What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef de Cuisine position at The Club at Glenmore?
The Club at Glenmore was established in 1992 and is situated within a private residential community about five miles east of downtown Charlottesville. We are currently seeking a Chef de Cuisine with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a passion for cooking.
Responsibilities include the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, sauté, and grill stations with emphases on food appearance, quality and taste to create an exceptional dining experience for our members and their guests.
Requirements are as follows:
- Previous fine dining experience is needed
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Ability to take direction and work as a team member, plus the ability to lead a team
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized
- Unwavering commitment to quality service
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays—no late nights though, the restaurant closes early!
This is a full time, year-round position. Compensation is based on experience, from $55k per year, and includes club assisted health insurance and 401k. Apply via email, no calls please.
