The Club is a member only club located atop Red Mountain in Birmingham Alabama and is presently hiring an exceptional Host/Food Runner to join our team. Our goal is excellence through uncompromising service to our members in a caring and respectful manner. Our team provides high levels of service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our members with three full service restaurants and high volume event activity.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities Include:
- Greet and welcome members and guest in a warm and professional manner
- Seat members and/or their guests
- Present menus, highlighting specialties
- Treat members in a manner to ensure complete satisfaction
- Take names for waiting list
- Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables
- Interact with members as they arrive and depart, answering any questions regarding the menu and/or restaurant
- Run food to tables in a timely manner
- Set up and clear tables, stock stations, and assist Servers
- Transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area for cleaning
- Communicate with members and guests in the manner our members expect
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior restaurant experience preferred
- Able to stand, walk, and carry food and trays for long periods of time
- Excellent verbal communication skills on the phone and in person
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Member/ Guest oriented and service minded
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and gracious attitude
- College Student encouraged to apply
- Able to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays A MUST
