ABOUT YOU

- You have a background in computer science with a strong knowledge of JavaScript and Python.- You are known for being a happy, upbeat person who would be excited to cultivate a fun and collaborative camp atmosphere.
- You are comfortable committing to a consistent weekly schedule.- You are a lifelong learner and are insatiably curious.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- We are looking for 3-4 camp counselors for our coding/STEM camp on the Upper East Side (Manhattan), Hudson Yards (Manhattan), and in Park Slope (Brooklyn).
- You will need to be able to work from our locations Monday through Friday from 8:30-3:30pm from June 17th-August 23rd (week of July 1st off). Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with students ages 8-17 to help them learn how to code
- Supporting STEM, outdoor, and screen break activities throughout the day
- Being a mentor for a group of campers and inspiring them to develop a growth mindset and love for technology
- Helping execute bi-weekly field trips to nearby tech companies
- Enforcing camp rules to guide and safeguard the health of campers
- Communicating with parents at drop-off and pick-up times
- Communicating with the leadership team to ensure all camp needs are met
To qualify for this role, you must:
- Commit to a 5-day training period in June

COMPENSATION
$20-30/hour
