Key Responsibilities
As a Community Health Medical Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing primary medical care to patients in accordance with their medical specialty and/or privileging
- Developing and implementing plans of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and referral as necessary
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
- Participating in ongoing training activities to stay current on best practices and patient-centered care
Requirements
To excel as a Community Health Medical Officer, you must have:
- A Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an approved residency program in a primary care specialty
- Licensure to practice medicine in the state of Texas
- Ability to relate effectively to patients, staff, and other healthcare providers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
